M3Well, it's been a couple of weeks, so it's just about time for another update for the M3 Loader. From version 27A, which added a bugfix to the previous version, we're now on version 28. Now, we can't seem to find the changelog for this one, but if version 27 was an indication, this version should add additional compatible titles and work on the bringing old and new compatible titles up to speed.

For those who aren't used to the M3 players, or have just picked one up recently, we've added the installation procedure from the file here for you. Enjoy!

To Install:

1. Put updategc.XXX or Updagcsd.xxx file into the root directory of your CF/SD card.
2. Insert the cf/SD into the slot of M3 adapter.
3. Boot the console with M3 adapter inserted.
4. A message will appear to ask you to install or bypass the installation procedures. (press "start" to install, press "A" bypass)

» Okay to delete the M3 loader?

Does the M3 loader have to be left inside the card permanently in order to update?

You'll have to ask M3 yourself, unfortunately. Unless some of our other people on QJ can help out? You may want to always just back everything up, even if it doesnt seem to be important, just to be sure. :)

cmon! what kind of DS news site staff do we have here. The answer to 3. is NO. Its something like a basic you need to know when youre posting about an M3 update. Also if you knew the basic sources you could also have found that changelog.

it appears that the CF firmware update isn't present in this update!? There are two updatgcsd.e28 files instead of the usual updategc.e28 for the CF version.
