We have seen several flashcarts and adapters being released for the Nintendo DS Lite recently, and the newest one is coming from the M3/G6 team in the form of a new adapter - the M3 Lite. The M3 line of flashcarts use expandable memory (memory cards) as the storage medium and have the best GBA/NDS compatibility out of all the flashcarts on the market. All of the M3's have stuck out of the NDS's GBA card slot, but this new one has been reported not to stick out at all! This was one of the only complaints about M3 adapters, and it seems that this con has finally been overcome with the M3 Lite.

The M3 Lite (M3 Perfect-MicroSD) will use MicroSD cards as its compatible memory card and will allow you to hold a lot more for a lot less than regular flashcarts. There has been no word on if you require high-speed memory cards to acheive top speeds from the M3, but this shouldn't be an issue with M3. We also know that this product will be released on (or before) August 15th with both a Chinese and an English version! So, will this be the must-have adapter? Stay tuned to QJ this month for a review on this upcoming product and we will tell you! The pictures that are displayed in this article reflect the concept design of the product, it can and may change.

This was the ONE reason why I almost purchased a G6 Lite instead. Now I can have the looks and well as the functionality and expandable memory. Thank GOD!

Looks like your gonna have to keep taking the cartridge out each time u need to copy something onto the memory card.

The Supercard Lite is less compatible to games available so far. M3 is first choice!

I've had M3s and SuperCards, and unless you want to play GBA games the SuperCard is a much better choice as it loads games much more quickly. The M3 is very slow to load games in comparison and the interface is very clunky. Plus the flashing software is really annoying, you have to choose separate options for each game you flash, and virtually no games work with the fast load option (they do on the SuperCard).

Also the SuperCard is NOT less compatible, I read that bull***** everywhere on the internet, it's just wrong. The SC works with all games currently except Starfox Command. But then the M3 recently had probelms with Mario 3 on 3, Star Fox and several other Japanese games. Both cards sometimes have problems with new games, and they are always patched right away.

The build quality of the M3 is *****ty too, my M3 Mini-SD stopped ejecting the SD card after about 4 tries!

The only disadvantage of the SC is that GBA games slow down quite a bit, so if you don't want to play them get the M3, otherwise I recommend the SC.

Thanks for your comment photoboy. Even if think you shouldn't be doing so much bull****ing ;)

In fact I do have the intention to play GBA games on my Lite but I will consider your statement in my purchase decision.

Photoboy - the M3 does not have long load times. Make sure you use the Fast Boot mode rather than normal which takes long load times. With fast boot, it boots instantly - no load time. So, that is a horrible arguement.

SC compatability is worse with GBA games (slow-downs mainly with SCL), this is a proven fact - M3 has the best compatability, but comes at a much higher price tag.

M3 has a great skinable interface and fast boot times and read speeds. M3 is the best adapter out ont he market IMO, there is nothing to suggest that it is "bad" besides a high price tag.

The build quality is very good with M3 - maybe you just handled it poorly

i've only come across 2 games that I couldn't use fast boot with the M3.....you can't beat the potential storage space of the M3 either.
