Live-action Mega Man movie gets impressive trailer (and it's low-budget too)

We spotted this yesterday, actually, and thought: hey, we might as well save if for the weekend! Well, it's the weekend already, and that means we can spare a few minutes for some recreational activities. Woot! Now sit back and relax, we'll take you for quite a ride.

Y'know, for a low-budget (wait, low budget? - do they even have a budget to begin with?) movie, this is pretty kick-ass. Here's the trailer for the Mega Man fan-made movie from one Eddie Lebron.

Epic, yeah? (Or maybe that's because they used a track from the Transformers movie?)

Aww, c'mon, give it some slack - it's low-budget, it's fan-made, and it's well within its own rights to have some over-the-top acting on Dr. Wily's part (then again, Wily's quite a crazy coot ever since, so I think the actor got it spot on).

Come to think of it, everyone pretty much got their roles nailed. They even got the teleportation effect every time Mega Man enters a stage! Hah!

I know you can't quite compare apples and oranges - or in this case, indie films and blockbusters. But man, I'd watch this guy's movies over Uwe Boll's any given day!

At least these folks took it serious enough to try and play the parts.

Suspending disbelief in your audience is more complicated than the average viewer realizes. These folks had to do it in under 30 seconds to get you to at least see it to it's current end.

It's the low budget break-outs that ad validity to a good story. Sure the costumes aren't a quarter mill and the CGI doesn't have the Lucas Arts seal of approval, but it shows that the story can be successfully told.

Get a few dozen dentists that want a tax write-off and this could be a pretty good attempt. Just be careful that it doesn't befall a 'Power Rangers' production style mill. That would be death for a seemingly good movie idea.

What's so bad about T3. The storyline in that movie made sense. The reason why the machine was able to get to the past was because they could never stop Judgment Day. They had a great ending that makes sense to the whole time traveling s*** that all the shows like Heroes never get right.

How do you know how bad the movie is when you havnt seen it yet?

the kung fu fighting clip in the trailer though. . . needs to be fast with explosion slike in power rangers.

freakin dr wily and dr light were great.
