Lite Under Pressure |
Listed in: Nintendo DS Tags: LCD, Super Mario
Ó
There are many sick people in this world, but few do what this video shows. In it, a man tries to damage his DS Lite by applying lots of pressure on the touch screen with both thumbs. It is painful to watch, but the result is very pleasing: The Lite's screen does nothing more than swirl its colors like all LCD screens under pressure, and it goes back to its regular self when the man takes his thumbs off the screen. Nintendo has made yet another durable product!
Now, if only someone buries one of these things and leaves it in the ground for 100 years. I bet the people of the future would dig it up and enjoy some Mario!

I guess durability is in the eye, well in my case, on the a$$ of the beholder.
PS: interestingly enough I couldn't find a broken PSP in that same repair shop.

I'm perfectly happy with my DS playing Mario Kart , New Super Mario Bros , Resident Evil , and games like DBZ , Under The Knife , Lost in Blue , and even Phoenix Wright
and I'm perfectly happy with my PSP playing SNES most of the time , I dont care about music , movies , or the PSP games honestly , I only paid $250 for the homebrew , and a year later it's paying off , I'll mod the d-pad to stiffin it up and possibly carry it around with my DS once I get that done , and get me a nice face plate and some protection since it has a wide open screen...
fanboys are slightly annoying , but the idioctic ones who rant and rave like nazis just need to be declined speaking rights , both have ups and downs , but even the most hardcore sony fan friends I have say the DS is more enjoyable

I got a PSP and my girlfriend a DS (Original one, mind you). I dropped her DS on cement flooring, I played with it strongly, etc... no a scratch. My PSP ? Always took really good care of it, always in a protective case and such. One day, because of humidity, temperature variations and such, the PSP front panel started to break, it has big cracks and continues on. The UMD door always been misadjusted and etc...
I like my PSP, I like the DS... but matter of durability ? I would give a DS to a 3~5 yrs old kid without being scared that he/she would break it. The PSP ? You look at it, and it cracks. Note that I am not the only one in this situation.

Store displays for systems always get messed up. I think it's cool the guy provided a video for us to watch...even if it was a bit disturbing.
