Lite Under Pressure

There are many sick people in this world, but few do what this video shows. In it, a man tries to damage his DS Lite by applying lots of pressure on the touch screen with both thumbs. It is painful to watch, but the result is very pleasing: The Lite's screen does nothing more than swirl its colors like all LCD screens under pressure, and it goes back to its regular self when the man takes his thumbs off the screen. Nintendo has made yet another durable product!

Now, if only someone buries one of these things and leaves it in the ground for 100 years. I bet the people of the future would dig it up and enjoy some Mario!

I don't even have a DS Lite and this guy thinks its funny to try and break it?! Sick BAST4RD!

by DS - 2006-07-12 21:06
» Not his...

It's from a store so of course he can try that. I don't think he would have done that if it would have been his own DS.

by Nick - 2006-07-12 21:14
» not so great

I have tried it on a store but as seen nothing happened but some people crashed on it with some keys

And it broke somehow

by dude - 2006-07-12 21:17
» what a *****

that is the sickest thing ever

by Bob - 2006-07-12 21:31
» Idiot

Why do that to a store DS? i remember when the first DS came out, and all the pricks went round fecking up all the touchscreens then, he wants to try and break a DS Lite he should get his own, sad git.

i agree with the above, fook up your own ds, if you want, but leave the store models alone, other people will want to play on it too. if i ever see someone abusing a store ds, i'd make him pay for it to the store.

I'd never abuse a store DS Lite. I want one so bad.....I may steal it though lol. Although I'd steal a pouch with it of course and I would treat it with respect. Not *****ing try to mash the screen up. What an arsehole.

» Pfff...

Ok Nintendo fanboys, let me take you to the future were Sony rules the Portable and console gaming world.

1st of all my psp has withstanded more water dumped on it than my ds or lite.

2nd of all the psp is more a buisness/gaming device as the ds and lite are for children, not teens but children.

and finaly Sony's net worth is more than Microsoft and Nintendo put together.

Sony; 158 Billion $

Microsoft; 54 billion $

Nintendo; 2,3 Billion $ (thats it HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH A)

= 56,3 Billion for these 2 put togethter( Thats it HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA H AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA H AHAHAHAHAHAHA

AAHAHA)

NET WORTH ( so not Bill Gates Microsoft)

by fatguy - 2006-07-13 01:57
» sony has more net worth because...

not only do they make games, they make TV's and other expensive electronic devices

you are fat, jon, really really fat.

you sound like that "talking with jon" video about the DS.

by memyselfandi - 2006-07-13 04:07
» i agree

it was hard for me to see that but the lil ***** is using a stoe ds lite and not his own, it's retarded peoplelike that who mess up stuff at the store and when someone wants to play with it, they cant...

by TheProfessor - 2006-07-13 04:20
» Is the DS lite really durable?

Well I put a broken Lite from my local repair shop under the kitchen chair leg. I sat down on the chair and before you know it pop faster than you can Wiiiii.

I guess durability is in the eye, well in my case, on the a$$ of the beholder.

PS: interestingly enough I couldn't find a broken PSP in that same repair shop.

by resso - 2006-07-13 05:10
» that is...

because most broken/bricked psps can't be repaired for a low price...

anyway...

THAT HURTS MY EYES

by Michael - 2006-07-13 12:00
» Success!

Well, he did damage it... It was warped.

by psp - 2006-07-13 12:20
» the psp does that

my psp does that.

and unless microsofts stock plumeted horribly, in 2002 they had a net worth of over 500 billion. so they pwn sony.

by Meh - 2006-07-13 12:55
» Hmmm

Only children or children in a mans body would argue over this stupid handheld war.

by ReRuss - 2006-07-13 21:14
» loudmouth fanboys = nazis

Well it is stupid to try and ***** up a store system , but you ever notice that not many stores display PSPs... you know how easily a PSP could break... I've had mine apart many times and I can point out easy ways to screw a PSP within 3 seconds time and never even glance at the screws , and who takes their handheld diving? last time I checked , water and electronic don't mix too well

I'm perfectly happy with my DS playing Mario Kart , New Super Mario Bros , Resident Evil , and games like DBZ , Under The Knife , Lost in Blue , and even Phoenix Wright

and I'm perfectly happy with my PSP playing SNES most of the time , I dont care about music , movies , or the PSP games honestly , I only paid $250 for the homebrew , and a year later it's paying off , I'll mod the d-pad to stiffin it up and possibly carry it around with my DS once I get that done , and get me a nice face plate and some protection since it has a wide open screen...

fanboys are slightly annoying , but the idioctic ones who rant and rave like nazis just need to be declined speaking rights , both have ups and downs , but even the most hardcore sony fan friends I have say the DS is more enjoyable

I am sorry dude, but you should go back to school and do some kind of educations about what the real meaning of "durability" means.

I got a PSP and my girlfriend a DS (Original one, mind you). I dropped her DS on cement flooring, I played with it strongly, etc... no a scratch. My PSP ? Always took really good care of it, always in a protective case and such. One day, because of humidity, temperature variations and such, the PSP front panel started to break, it has big cracks and continues on. The UMD door always been misadjusted and etc...

I like my PSP, I like the DS... but matter of durability ? I would give a DS to a 3~5 yrs old kid without being scared that he/she would break it. The PSP ? You look at it, and it cracks. Note that I am not the only one in this situation.

» Store Displays...

I don't feel sorry one bit for that store DS. That thing is going to get ****ed up no matter what. It might not be the guy squeezing the thing, but it'll be people using car keys as a stylus or people with greasy hand smudging everything up or something like that.

Store displays for systems always get messed up. I think it's cool the guy provided a video for us to watch...even if it was a bit disturbing.
