LiraNunaDS

I wanted to wait a few days to see if this shocking and disappointing news was true, and it seems like this is no joke! Last Friday, LiraNuna, a famous NDS homebrew developer, has announced that he will leave the scene after a "discovery" they made. Now, this certain discovery is a pure mystery to us, but some things are best left untold. We will all miss LiraNuna for the wonderful programs and games that he brought to the NDS such as Tales of Dagur, the NDS's first full homebrew RPG. Here's LiraNuna's words of parting -

IÂ’m going to do this simple and short.

Due to my latest discovery about the DS scene me getting bored with DS development, i have decided I do not want to be a part of it any more.

Expect a final release of dualSwan v1.2.1 really soon. All of my current projects are discontinued, as I will not work on them ever again. All of them are open source, and freely available for modification.
I will release a final swan song DS demo on EVOKE as promissed.

Bored?

Nah, I bet what he 'discovered' about the 'scene' is that it's filled with ungrateful jerks that only demand more and idiots who think everything that's released is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Oh, there's a pearl now and then that can recognize and appreciate talent, but hearing their voices in the drowning wave of idiocy is nearly impossible. So long, dev! May you find your peace elsewhere.

Lamers suck.

It's not a 'scene' because it is filled with lamers, demanding things and producing nothing. What will eventually happen is he and others like him, the folks who produce things, will do so and not let the lamers know. It's the only way to remain insane in the world of the lamer and leech. None of the actual scenes that exist allow lamers; it's put up or shut up. And if they don't want to shut up, they get shut up.

ds homebrew?

sorry to post this question in this forum but it seems people in the ds homebrew scene will check this thread out. could someone tell me if it's possible to get homebrew running with just a gba flash card. i have an old ezflash 256mb card from my gbaSP days. i want to avoid flashing or buying passme. any hope?

btw

sorry about the loss of this developer. sounds like he was one of the few to make "fun" brew for ds. i'll be checking out his work in the psp scene which i'm more familiar with. the only brew i'm really looking for in the ds is some pda like apps thnx

i have ds and psp, so hehehhehe

i purchased my supercard a 3 days ago so this is really sad, my version of psp is 2.7 isnt a good thing, but its a good news that he dont leave to develop, developing something is the objective, so if its for ds, psp, xbox, ps2 ... dont metter, he is a talent and wherever he go, he will do a great jog, find your way with people that really regonize your talent man, ds scene have a lot of *****in noobs that just want want want, and do nothing, im fair, i dont develop but who develop something that i like i regonize and respect the person, go liraluna dont stop man, wherever you will go (isnt the music huh hehhehe) ...

Well I thought it was only the psp scene :S. I dont produce much but I am trying to learn lua, But I never say stuff like "OMGZROXNC this N64 EMulat0r is teh sux, not even funz0r!" or "this is a peice of *****" well this is good and bad news for me, because I really wanna get into ds homebrew. But my psp has always been loved :).
