Professor Layton continues to impress us with every installment of the franchise. If you thought that there couldn't be anything else in store for it, then you are sorely mistaken.
Level-5 CEO and President, Akihiro Hino, shared in a recent interview about their future plans for Professo Layton and the rest of the gang. Looking foward, Hino disclosed that they are actually preparing for the second season of the game (installments 4, 5 and 6).
"[A]nd if it is successful, we'll definitely want to try a third season. Eventually, it might be interesting to make it into a Hollywood movie. Or it could be a play."
"I'd love to watch all kinds of adaptation of Layton and his world. We'd love to grow Layton into shows that everyone in the world would enjoy."

I think thats the best and probably only good, faithful way do adapt this franchise into other media.
Maybe an Anime series.
But seriously, no live action movie or play. What the hell?
But if I would have to choose, Id say make it an interactive play. Like where the audience actually gets riddles they can solve and stuff like that.
