Death NoteKonami has just launched the teaser website for its upcoming DS release Death Note. The game is based on the manga of the same name, created by Ohba Tsugumi and Obata Takeshi. Fans of the manga Hikaru no Go may recognize the latter.

There's not a lot we can tell you about this game, as the website itself doesn't have a lot of information regarding gameplay, etc. Since the manga centers around a notebook that kills whoever has his or her name written in it, we surmise that the stylus will play a big role in Death Note's gameplay. Players may have to research criminals and stuff throughout the game and then write down the names they find.

This is all just pure conjecture, though. We'll keep you guys posted when we find out more. Thanks to Badam for the tip.

» Death Note...

Death Note is an awesome manga... yes you kill by writing someone's real name in the notebook, but you also have to be thinking of that person's face when you're writing it (in case someone else's name coincides with this).

The manga has a detective who, using his wits, tries to take down the person who's using the Notebook to become a god. The manga becomes a battle of wits between the detective and the notebook user.

If the game is anything like the manga, hopefully it will be pretty intelligent.
