There was a large serving of Final Fantasy from Square Enix's 1st Production Department conference, but let's not forget about Kingdom Hearts game coming to the 3DS. During the event, the publisher finally gave the game its official name and even shared a few gameplay details as well.
It's not Kingdom Hearts 3DS - it's Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. According to Birth by Sleep Final Mix director, Yasushi Yasue, the game will take advantage of the 3DS' visual capabilities to give players a sense of super speed. As you may have seen from the trailer above, there's a lot of high-jumping and dashing to be done in this game.
Gameplay-wise, players will be able to switch between Sora and Riku. Yasue explains that this addition will give the game's tempo a fresh feel.
Yasue also pointed out that they will be making use of the 3DS' various functions, so that may involve the currency-earning pedometer or maybe some form of Tag Mode implementation.
