Jenga - Image 1Atari has confirmed that it's indeed working on a video game version of the block game Jenga for the Nintendo Wii and the Nintendo DS. Using the innovative controls of the two platforms, players are expected to experience the same thrills and spills that the real game has to offer.

If you're not familiar with the game, Jenga has players building a tower of wooden blocks at the start. When the tower is standing firm and complete, the players take turns removing one block at a time.

As the tower loses blocks, players must be ever more careful not to allow the whole thing to fall. If it crashes, you lose. Pokonobe Associates' Paul Eveloff added:

We are very pleased that Atari is now bringing JengaÂ’s universal entertainment appeal to video gamers worldwide. This new platform will extend the opportunity to play Jenga to video gamers and generate exceptional new play experiences. AtariÂ’s Jenga for the Nintendo DS and Wii takes the Edge-of-Your-Seat Fun and party game style brilliantly to video game players of all skill levels!

Jenga will be shipping in November for the two Nintendo platforms and is recommended for players of all ages. The screens in this post were taken from the game's Wii version.

Jenga sucks as a game board what makes you think its going to be good as a video game, i swear people need to make better games on the wii or i am officially calling it the worst console ever(except for the remote).

» wow....just wow

Whats happening to games man? Jenga?! serious? not a joke?, developers need to make a quick games for some small quick cash? Maybe its a bunch of student interns for Atari making the game instead probably.

» Indeed, JENNNGAAA!

I'm actually liking this. It's simple games that my parents and in-laws like. I'm definitely picking this one up.
