Japan Falls In Love With The Pink DS Lite

dspinkThe crowd waiting to get their hands on the new Pink DS Lite wasn't as manic as the DS Lite launching itself but Nintendo managed to sell a few of their new blushing units. According to one eyewitness account at one store, a modest line of 43 people waited for their turn to bag the Noble Pink DS Lite on launch date.

"They come in all shapes and sizes...College students...men in business suits... housewives, gray hairs, but oddly no children." Maybe pink is too sissy for most boy DS gamers (but not businessmen!).

Anyway, the line for the Pink DS Lite remained steady with a continuous flow of customers taking their place in the space vacated by new Pink DS Lite owners. By the time the on-the-scene reporter hot his pink beauty, he noticed the stack of empty Nintendo cardboard boxes which he described as "impressive." Looks like Nintendo did it again.

Blushing units... heh heh. Sorry.

Nice use of an adjective, though.

As for business men, they're more secure in their gender identification than most young boys, so if they like the look of the pink, they'll not worry so much about how it reflects on them.

Also -- first post!

I hope they make their way into North America. They'd sell really well here.
