Iwata: Nintendo may beat forecast |

You may remember that way back in October, Nintendo raised its shipment forecast for the DS by 3 million units, predicting that 20 million units will be shipped by March 2007.
Well, we've got more good news for you Ninty fans out there.
Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has recently stated that the company could exceed its own earnings target for the current fiscal year following strong sales of the DS and the Wii. Games Industry reports that Iwata has said that the handheld could well top the figure they gave last October. He adds that the success of the Wii has had little effect on the DS in terms of cannibalizing sales.
Nice to hear that the DS is doing well on its own and that it doesn't have to rely on it's ever so slightly bigger brother.

its not nice to hear... cos the wii and the DS are both rubbish... nice to hear would be that nintendo have been bankrupted due to tax evasion fines and they have been heavily linked to a child prostitution ring..

this forums are so biased... how comes all the good comments are always for nintendo? and there are always lots of derogatory comments for sony and microsoft?
if you check the forums and hit stats... most people go on are psp updates... sonys and some on microsoft....
go on the forums ... and check how many people are reading psp forums... its cos no one cares about nintendo and the DS...
Sony made 92% less revenue this year. Nintendo's stocks are worth more than they ever were.
How excactly does that make anyone biased reporting these numbers? They are facts released by the respective companies, not fanboy rants.
im not just talking about the post above, im talking about all the QJ posts bout the gen war! and those you mentioned are inconcistent and unproven, sony are leading in the LCD tv world and their revenues in that section were increased 70% with the release of the new bravia line... columbia, revolution studios and tri star pictures has also produced a high number of revenue to sony due large tittles released this year..
theyre not fanboy rants.. just annoyances i have found.. sony this... microsoft that... (negative comments) and then a post saying... we dont like to rant or seem biased... but nintendo is the best company in the whole world and we like to give them some and cream over their marketting employees and i sleep witha cardboard cut out regie fils aime,.... but we're not biased
The reason the PSP forums are more popular then any of the nintendo forums is because this site or "network" was founded on psphacker.com, QJ network wasn't here yet.
... because people are pissed there aren't enough games, can't figure out the updates, or are just marvelling in the new color the psp is - "oooh, my psp is camaflouge"
so there ya go... if no one cares about nintendo and this was based in an original psp site... why not just get rid of it? afterall no one cares.... you can also see this is right because the stuff that gets most diggs still sony's! for example./.. every time microsoft has released a desktop update... its noway to be seen in the top 10!!!
well on my xbox i got ...halo 1-2 ... on my xbox 360... the same (completed gow in 5 hours and took it back... not worth the money) ... on my gamecube i got...zelda.. and on my wii....zelda...
and on my DS i got final fantasy...

I walked into a gamestop today and they had one 60 gig ps3 remaining. The guy at the counter told me if I want it its mine. I really thought long and hard about it and looked at the ps3 library of games and realized how completely worthless it is at this point. Maybe in a year or two all these sony fanboys can rejoice with a better library of games but for now, nintendo has every right in the world to be looked up to. The only reason I would buy a ps3 is to sell it on ebay and my psp is in my closet collecting dust for about 9 months now. Sony has completely lost their apeal and I have alot more fun playing the new nintendo games. Xbox 360 has its moments but its usually a hit or miss. I suspect next christmas the ps3 might be worth it, if they have a better stock of games. Come on sony fans, you have to admit at this point its kind of pathetic that Resisitance is the only game worthwhile on a 600$ console.
The psp is getting slapped down by the DS's. But the only reason i that Sony is being stupid with gay-ass firmware updates. If people know what homebrew on psp is and Sony unbans it, probably the sales will go up.
