Nintendo DS - Image 1Nintendo is getting ready to roll out a new video streaming service for the Wii this year. The new service may not be limited only to the Wii, however.

Talking to the Wall Street Journal, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata hinted that the service may make its way to the DS as well, citing connectivity between the two consoles:

If the Wii and the DS are connected, it should be possible to download video through the Wii and take it with you on the DS.

The video streaming service has only been confirmed for Japan right now, but Iwata also expressed a desire to bring it overseas "if it does well".
