It's a stretch: 'DKS3713' rearranged spells out 'REMAKE 7' |
Ó
Or is it?
Similar to announcing FF13 for the Xbox 360 in their E3 press conference, they could likewise "pull another Square Enix" and drop the major bomb about the FF7 announcement when the DKΣ3713 event closes today. And what could that be? Online speculation has run wild yet again with hopes for a remake of FF7.
Trolling around the Internet led me to a mildly interesting yet highly unlikely bit of speculation from a few days ago. Someone took the name of Square Enix's party and rearranged the letters - sort of like what you would do in an anagram. And what does D-K-Σ-3-7-1-3 spell out? It's a bit of a stretch, honestly, but oh well: REMAKE 7.

Take this with a grain of salt. Heck, take the whole salt factory if you want. I don't think it's even substantial enough to be called a rumor in its own right - more of like fan art, I'd say. And instead of throwing in a Rumor label, let's just categorize this under Off-Topic. But there you go.
DKΣ3713 = REMAKE 7. The 1 and 3s were flipped to spell out the R and Es, respectively, while the Sigma character and D were rotated horizontally for the M and A.
Just so you know, the DKΣ3713 event is named as such because it spells out the following upcoming releases:
- D: Dissidia: Final Fantasy
- K: Kingdom Hearts (BBS, 358/2 Days, Coded)
- Σ: Sigma Harmonics
- 3: Parasite Eve 3: The 3rd Birthday
- 7: Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children Complete
- 13: Final Fantasy 13 (FF13, FF Versus 13, FF Agito 13)
For more concrete news on the DKΣ3713 event, I've listed all relevant posts below, and then some.

They didn't say it was about FF7, nor did they say it would shock fans. Simply, they just said it would be a big announcement.
People have been blowing this thing out of proportion from day one. If anything, the announcement makes me think it would have to do with Advent Children--which means the already announced news that a PS3 bundle with a FFXIII demo is coming out may be it--even though I'm hoping it's not.

Read the original interview - they just said "big annoucement". Although the big annoucement was in response to a question relating to FFVII, the response was not necessarily specific to FFVII!

think about it: 360 gets a super shoking announcement (as we do too) that ff13 is bieng ported over to the 360 and no longer stays an exclusive... and then SE says "we have a huge announcement thats gunna shock fans".... "were giving you an exclusive demo of ff13 with the release of FFACC"... ?? dude wtf?
first the balls came swingin back at our fI_Ick!n groin again.
thats not jutifiable,and we dont want to play a demo of a game that gunna be out untill 2010.
and for the fact that ff series are all about story and story drivin games ,so why in the f**k do we want a demo of a story?? super g@ytarted...we want to play the whole g0d@mn thing not some f@gg0t demo.
anyways,i personally think that SE's so called "shocking" anouncment will be at the very end.
and if not-tho's muther fI_Ickerz are dead meat.
yeah see wut happens wen i bring godzilla mutha f**k3rs.

LIKE MED (7 as L) Dr Mario remake?
LEEK MAI (7 as L again, D as A) secret deal with SNK?
l33t MDK (1 as L, 7 as L) old Biotech sequel revived!!!!
I am sure someone else will come up with something better ;)

but if they are gonna remake ff7, the big announcement is that it'll be exclusive to the 360. that would piss so many people off

lol...i was reading up on Tetsuya Nomura and I just read this:
Then one Sunday night, during a phonecall to Yoshinori Kitase (Director), he said "Let's kill Aerith and bring out Tifa".

look it up on google.
and acctually "yes" they are gonna make another FF7 game.
as you can probably tell from DoC, Genesis is probably the antagonist in the new FFVII game.

(3+7+13=23)
S is the first letter in the english spelling of the greek symbol sigma
S=19th letter of the alphabet
D=4th Letter of the alphabet
(19+4=23)
K=11th letter of the alphabet
S-K+d+7+1+3=23
It"s obvious with the above info that SE is planning to remake a bad Jim Carrey Movie with final fantasy charecters
