Inuyasha: Secret of the Divine Jewel announced |
Ó
Namco Bandai Games is bringing the world of the popular anime series InuYasha to the DS with InuYasha: Secret of the Divine Jewel. Or should we say "part of the world" since the game features an all-new storyline (although it also includes some of the anime characters) that promises all the action of the familiar TV series.
This InuYasha is an "intuitive" RPG that has the player unlocking the mysteries of the Divine Jewel... hence the title (Stupid me, why didn't I think of that?). Okay, on to the more important details. The RPG control scheme here is called "Cover Fellow System", which will get Inuyasha, Kagome, and all the familiar and new characters to work and fight together "in ways never before seen". Though, if you still remember the Link Attack system from Square Enix's Front Mission 4 for the PS2, the effect should be the same, and you should get the idea.
Lucky for us, Namco Bandai generously donates these screens and this video of the Cover Fellow System in action. InuYasha: Secret of the Divine Jewel arrives next year. Exactly when next year? Dunno, the press release didn't specify that. Maybe that's one mystery Inuyasha should solve.
