Tokyo Game Show 2007 - Image 1A couple of days ago, we told you guys that there's a big possibility that Nintendo will be attending this year's Tokyo Game Show (TGS). The company has yet to make an official announcement but reports mentioned that it's all because of Square Enix's Dragon Quest IX for DS.

While that might be true, we have to say that this will make a lot of impact to the video game industry in general. In order to understand this, you have to consider the history of the event. In the past, TGS is considered to be a PlayStation-centric event. Microsoft has always been present but the event really belongs to Sony.

This is solely because TGS was established to feature titles present on Nintendo platforms. These titles, on the other hand, are displayed on the company's own show, Nintendo Space World. Anyway, with Nintendo coming to this year event's, Sony should be prepared and ready.

This was quoted from one of NeoGAF's well-known members, Jonnyram: "If true, PS3 is officially finished. This TGS is crucial to the PS3's success. If Sony is outshone by Nintendo, they can kiss the console market goodbye." Not to bait flame though, Sony really has to prove its wares at this year's show.

And to us fans, with the three companies trying to outshine each other, we can't help but say that it's going to be good for all of us.

If

Nintendo really blows Sony away at this show, it won't be a surprise, it'll just be an extension of what they've already done. That being said, Sony had better step it up a notch as they are already playing catch up.

Pshhh

Yeah, Nintendo's got the uperhand here unless sony delivers something with the magnitude of God of War III or Home I say that because there's just so little we know about the big three titles...plus they've yet to anounce numerous other titles
