Yay for violent DS games! The BBFC has officially rated Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars with an 18 certificate. Gee, I wonder why. Chinatown Wars is now also the first official DS game to get a rating that high.

The game's online listing also reveals that the game will have 168 minutes of in-game cut scenes. It also says that the game contains "very strong language and drug references" - although that feels a bit like stating the obvious.

There's also some new screenshots for you guys. I like the stylized, cel-shaded Okami-ish feel. Very nitty-gritty.

No one cares about other countries rating systems, in most other countries games have to be edited or the companies will "refuse to rate them". I think RockStar and other game companies should just keep there games out of crappy countries like those, or not get them rated and put them on PC only.

But this is a DS exclusive game designed specifically for the DS. Why the ***** would Rockstar put a game designed for the only console with a touch and a normal screen on any other gaming device. And since when have PC games not had certification. Urm never. Only with internet only releases. You want to buy a game in the store it needs to have a certification. And excuse me but some people do happen to care seeing as that 18 certificate means that us Brits don't have to worry about having things cut. The internet is larger then just America.
