Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars - Image 1You wanna see M-rated games on the Wii? Buy Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars when it comes out this March.

According to Take-Two, they're using the game to see whether games with mature themes are suited for the platform. Says CEO Ben Feder:

Even the M-rated content that we think is much more appropriate for the PS3 or 360, we have to look at the Wii as a viable platform across all our labels.

You just have to because you canÂ’t ignore the installed base. You just canÂ’t.

WeÂ’re going to do a lot of learning with GTA: Chinatown Wars on the DS in terms of bringing that kind of content to a Nintendo platform. Our partnership with Nintendo is as strong as itÂ’s ever been. WeÂ’re really excited about it. We talk to them all the time. They provide great feedback for us.

Take-Two Interactive is the parent company of BioShock studio 2K Games, and of course, if it wasn't already obvious, Grand Theft Auto studio Rockstar Games. It also published The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for Bethesda Softworks.

If any of these games make it to the Wii, it'll make my day. My year. My decade. I implore you. Buy a DS, buy Chinatown Wars, help me stop playing the same three games on my Wii.

OMG, I already see GTA5 multiplat. For X360, PS3 and Wii. Later PC.

Or even worse: exclusive to Wii.

» Excuse me Mr Rockstar.

Conveniently forgetting Manhunt 2 and Bully? OK so i know one of those isn't exactly pushing the boundaries but a "kids" console with kids fighting kids and MANHUNT 2 (does not need words) should be enough proof of this.

» WTF?! Why not? It's ok to release GTA for wii!

Why not? PS2 have GTA and Wii have better graphics than PS2, so Why the ***** no!

Ohh, yeah Kids console, the console is not for kids! The game that nintendo makes are for kids! But activision contribute with CoD5 and its true that sucks on wii beacause of his graphics, just like the Statistics say, but is cool to play it with a gun like in hand, don't tell me is not! But I don't care. cuz this CoD2 sucks even in Xbox 360 with HD and those Nazi zombies, I like better CoD4, just wait for the CoD6 (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2)

Its just The Wii Graphx were better, this wouldn't happen, but it happen and what it's done is done! Let Take 2 and Rockstars make a M rated game for wii, just exclusive for wii, in that way, GTA fans that wan to play this new game will have to buy the wii to play it, that way if this game is nice (I bet, it does) nintendo will be selling more wii's.

I mean GTA:Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories for PSP were good, people liked it, even if those graphics ate your eyes! So PS2 have them too, and Wii will have them too!

its Final.

Thanks!

» Is it Chinatown Wars...

...so folks can use throwing stars, swords, and nunchaku in the game? Are these weapons used more than guns in that culture, or is it just how it's portrayed in games and movies? I'm interested if it's true or stereotype.
