From the sleepy town of Pleasantview, our friendly and ever-lovable Sims find themselves mysteriously washed ashore, miles from civilization and with little hope of rescue. Plot sounds familiar? Well, that's the story of the newest console spin-off of The Sims 2 franchise by EA Games.

Separated from the comfortable suburban life that the Sims are used to, they have to rely on their wits and ingenuity (with help from the player) to survive on a deserted island with no chance of calling on the local pizza delivery service to help satisfy their hunger needs.

Challenges such as finding shelter and gathering food for yourself will keep your Sim busy for a good part of the game. The video also shows the usual interaction the Sims have with one another in their usual Simlish language. Who knows? You may even find a way for your Sim to get off that island.

The Sims 2: Castaway is the third spin-off from The Sims Stories series. It's set to be released this October 22 for the Nintendo DS, Wii, Playstation 2 and the PSP.

lol true!

by the way, I hate when they use the best console to show off, I really doubt the PSP will look like that that looks like the wii version or at least the PS2
