When Brash Entertainment shut down, a lot of its projects either went down with it, or were left in the hands of other publishers. This game, featuring the DC Comics speedster, The Flash, was six months into development when it all happened, and what we've got right here is a video showing the potential that could've been realized.

Given that the game was in early stages of development, the video looks pretty rough, but the developer, BottleRocket, seemed to have something going on. Unfortunately, we are all now left to wonder what it would've been like when completed. Too bad.

Basically reminds me of how Spiderman's combat and graphics look, except he can run fast.

Looked alright but he never seemed to be going all that fast. Compared to regular people maybe, but that's meant to be the Flash.

» Whyyyyyy?

This looks really cool. Someone else should pick it up and release it, though that probably won't happen...

Why must The Flash never get a good game? :(

» This definitely had potential

It's a first attempt. Still in alpha stage and it already seemed better than any sonic game th@ came from the Sonic Team in this gaming era. Imagine Sega possibly publishing this, wh@ do you think would happen 2 dis game??

Alright that looks like crap IMO. Not every hero needs a game, mkay?

You do know the game only had 6 months of development... right? What are you expecting, a fully immerse game ready to be shipped in 6 months?

» I mean this optimistically....

The game looks totally like a stripped down version of prototype in the gtaIII Liberty City.

I woulda played it though....

» The real question

Is whether the graphical look is due to 'early development' (before extensive textures were applied), ...or if this was the actual finished-product type of look. If the latter, then it looks like a ripoff of Mirror's Edge, if you ask me. If not, and they intended to add textures ... shame. It looks like it could've been interesting.

» well...

the flash would leave a blue streak behind him and pick up RINGS! HAHAHA THAT WOULD BE HILARIOUS yes now we are left to wonder...what if? haha

» so...

can we assume that there might be a movie to this game?

if it was made good it could have been fun... too bad

» Just what I was thinking

The Flash seemed slower than he should be. Look how slowly the buildings move by.

» Man..

What a shame, I'd love to play a superhero game based off the flash. He's another one of my favorite comic book characters. :(

What's even worse is this game looked pretty fun based off the 6 months development. ;(

» faster might be too fast

Making him go too fast would make it hard to control. This game was in early stages, at a later point they would probably add some effects to give you a feeling he was going faster.

» i would have played it

seems nice, with all the open space architectural complexes, and the kind of Metropolis looking, sunny day. Too bad. i was kind of getting bored with all the movie-game titles, and this game, only after 6 months, looks kind of cool

Well he's definitely moving a lot slower than most racing games I play, and I reckon it's possible to make it extremely fast while using some techniques to help the player 'keep control'. If you can't go fast there's no point being the Flash. Perhaps even have speed as a difficulty level, making it purposely slower on easier settings.

I was not talking about graphics. The whole concept looked boring and bland.

But then again, that's just my opinion, if you like it, then it's okay, too. Free opinion, you know?
