G6 Lite Out in Stores Next Week

Ó

I love the Nintendo DS Lite; in fact, I love it so much that when I use Gameboy Advance (GBA) cartridges, the fact that they stick out of the DS's slot doesn't bother me at all.

The fussier lot who've been scouring the web for a solution have probably already read about the G6 Lite flash cart. It's designed to make GBA cartridges fit perfectly into the DS Lite's GBA slot. No more sticking out! It has storage memory of up to 512MB and is compatible with GBA, DS, and DS Lite. Best of all - and this you might not know just yet - it'll be available next week!

The G6 Lite pack includes the Enamel Navy cartridge case, Ice Blue cartridge case, GBA cartridge and a USB burner.

Isn't this basically piracy?

No, it's not. The flash cart allows you to run homebrew applications. Piracy would be ROMs. I think ROMs can be run on it, but then again, ROMs can be run on the PSP's memory card as well =P

Its it megabytes or megabits?

The article should list the size as 512Mb. 512MB (capital B) means bytes, small b means bits. And 512Mb is 64MB, which would barely hold anything. Hopefully a version that uses a MicroSD card will be released at some point.

You are mistaken, the cart is 4 GigaBIT which is 512 MegaBYTES

No, the EZ4 lite sticks out about 1mm and its the shape of a GBA cart, so it doesn't cover as good as the slot filler or the G6-Lite cart. The G6-Lite is exactly the same size as the filler.

Yeah the cart is 4gigabit, but like the article said its 512mbytes.

To use this you have to have this unit as well as one of the newer NoPass type cards for the DS slot. The same company makes one and it is quite good.

The difference between the normal and the pro is that the pro can't play gba games.
