FWNitro v1.5 |
Ó
zzo38computer has released a new version of his custom firmware for the NDS called FWNitro. FWNitro replaces your current NDS's firmware which many would call the operation system of the dual screen device. This new firmware will fully replace your old one by flashing it to your device. The installation of this is the same as that of Flashme. If you have not installed Flashme or FWNitro on your NDS, here's a nice guide (if installing FWNitro, just replace the flashme file with the downloaded FWNitro file). FWNitro is not as fully featured as the NDS current firmware, but it does offer some great insight into a custom firmware future! With less than 2 months in production during free time, the firmware has come a long way. At the current time this will offer you an alternative for your current firmware if you like change and hopefully you will never want to go back! The PSP has yet to see custom firmwares with shells being created as the alternative, so good job zzo38computer for this NDS firmware (show the PSP that the NDS is better).Changes in v1.5:
- Settings in options.h to ignore auto-start flag in NDS card (in case it causes problems or you don't like that function, and this is also what was causing the screen to go black)
- On-screen keyboard functions have been changed a bit: Cursor is displayed after text, color of input text is now highlighted, and Esc key works (same as B button to cancel)
- L and R buttons can be used on main menu to toggle back-light
- You can now call ARM7 functions in PROGRAMMING MODE
