It's been a while since we last heard from Capcom and Sony Pictures Entertainment about their big collaboration project for the first full-length CGI movie based on the Resident Evil series. However, here's a big update: eye-popping screenshots of Resident Evil: Degeneration.
While some might think the visuals don't exactly seem on par with Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children, the way the characters were rendered (Claire and Leon ftw!) was still expertly done and goes beyond your average Resident Evil game graphics.
Still, we're hoping the movie itself still has a lot more to show us since the initial screenshots are drool-worthy enough as it is. Since both Leon and Claire are in the cast, it seems that the movie will be taking off from, or at least will be related to, the Code Veronica game. Hopefully, we'll see how the movie plays itself out when it gets released next year. In the meantime, lets all enjoy the eye candy with these lovely screenshots from the movie.

the best CGI imo still is Final Fantasy The Spirits Within
but I hope that if Valentine is casted, they would re-do her outfit.

Capcom has always been good with CG in their games for quite a while.
It's too bad that even through all people's efforts, we still can't get beyond the uncanny valley, which is probably something this movie will suffer from too. Spirits Within and Advent Children both had terrible uncanny valley problems, and even the new Beowulf did (though it has been the best I have seen so far).
I can't wait to hear cheesy dialogue with some zombie killin!

Claire is finally back. I'm going to love this.
Thank God, we will finally get a true RE movie, probably cause Capcom knows the Fanbase doesnt like what Andersons doing. I don't know but it looks alot better than his movies.
