Few New Game Releases This Summer? |

This is one of those slow days where you wished something would happen - a fairy appears in front of you or a lamp you're holding suddenly spits out a genie, both asking what your wishes are.And since you're so bored with how slow things are at the moment (compared to the excitement before and during E3), you're just going to ask that magical creature to give you a game, any new game that isn't but should be released for this summer.
Yup, it's that slow. There are no new releases this summer except for the Moto GP 2006 June 12 release for the Xbox 360, Cars and the new Major League Baseball for GameCube, and Battlefield 2 compilation and Jaws for the PC.
Maybe Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo are in cahoots not to announce any more releases before the next-gen consoles come out. To give us time to save up for the launch titles and for the consoles themselves, perhaps, so that we'll go all out on their products with the money we've (hopefully) saved.
Not all of us have fairy godparents or genies who'd give us the games and the consoles whenever we ask for it. Too bad summer's going to be boring.

It's just the summer drought. This happens every year as companies hold off on releases until fall/winter so they can try to get more sales off the holiday season.
Why not take this time to pick up some good older titles you passed by for newer titles and shut ur face.
on 360 games are nice... can always get a amp'd or burnout or so many others that have dropped recently.
Also where is the love for LOTR that is coming out in july. isnt that the summer still?And I believe prey is too, not to be picky. Not nearly as many but there are atleast a couple options for people who have already gone next gen.
For those of us who have a 360...hehe..I do...We can be enjoying some games like Oblivion, Prey, LOTR, Dead Rising (YES!), and ChromeHounds (Double Yes!) So for those people life is good but...just to let everyone know that I am not some lame Microsoft Fanboy (or sony just for records) THE Wii IS GOING TO KICK 360 AND PS3's RIGHT OUT OF THE INDUSTRY!
For those of you who thought I am a nintendo fanboy, I might be, BUT I am probably going to get both Wii and PS3 but I will be playing my Wii more no doubt at all. Not because of I hate sony that isn't it at all it is just that games are not about graphics and people need to relize this, this whole PS3 graphics are better is total CRAP!!! Just because a game has good graphics doesn't make it good. You there was a game where you read a book, but it had VERY REAL graphics, would you play it? NO, unless you are a complete Idiot! I think with more innovations is the better game. Just for instance DS and PSP I have them both, which one do I play? DS!!! Why? better games! The PSP games lack so much, they are just hopeing that the graphics will pull them through. Now maybe there are a couple games that are cool but there needs to be something really cool for me to get back into psp...but that is just my opionion, you can be little retards and think graphics make a game. Do I think the PS3 will be cool to an extent, yes but I will most defenatly be playing Wii more than PS3.
For those looking to pick up current gen games for slightly less, and stave off the summer drought, EB/GS is doing the buy 2 used games get 1 free promo until the 11th. I went on a bit of a spending spree yesterday... but finally got some PS2 RPGs I had been looking for.
