Someone going by the name of PSYK0MANT1S on YouTube was very excited to get home from work to play his new copy of Madden. To his disappointment, two games were enough for the glaring glitches to appear. A lengthy post on his bitter feelings accompanied a video he uploaded . Taken from his rant:

consumer/gamer pay for a buggy product. EA needs to get their act
together and get some REAL Quality Assurance going on.
Here are the glitches he was able to record using the game's replay feature. Oh, and before you click on that play button, be warned that the guy is enraged. So expect to hear a lot of... er... unpleasant-sounding rants.

Here a simple solution, just do by ea games.
beta testers are ssuppose to fix flaws and posibble glitches this is very sad to hear from EA
Well, that is one good reason why I do not purchase games from EA. The majority of games I purchased from them in the past turned out to be disappointing at best, and a number of them seemed more like betas.
Anyway, on a less serious note, the glitches themselves were somewhat amusing.

He was calling the game "BETA" because of the glitches he caught. He did not buy a "BETA" version numbnuts. Games go through beta testing to catch glitches like the guy was showing on the video.

Does anyone in the PSP modding community (which is supposed to be what this blog is about, but there isn't enough news in the hacking community to compete with other gaming blogs, so they use normal gaming news as filler) give two sh1ts about Madden? I mean, Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring, people. EA is a company that's known to keep a stable of underpaid, undertrained developers who don't know how to make good games lately. This is what happens when you buy the same game every year, repackaged with the latest RL team rosters and sold to you for the same price...every fricking year.
As far as this guy goes, he has every right to be pissed as hell. Because of the piracy excuse, you can't even take a game back to the store because it sucks. If launch-day sales are good enough, the company calls it a success and keeps making crappy games. Seriously, those bugs are inexcusable. The fact that he's able to consistently reproduce the glitches for a video demonstration is cause for major concern.

i think American Footballers can get on any field with Rugby players for some huge tackling sessions... and i wouldn't be surprised if they take down the rugby players too... if you look especially at the African American athletes playing the sport they are damn huge and fast and agile... just cause they are made to wear body armour doesn't mean they are wusses.
Defending your precious ea, with your 1000s of versions of the same game.. and then 1000s of differnt games for the same sport. I mean, Soccer does change its rules each year a tiny fraction, im sure other sports do too, but all you pay for each time is MAYBE a update in graphics (especially if its on a new console) else you are paying for a tracklist and a updated name database. Well i hope that pleases you at home in bed at night when you will buy madden foosball 2005 2006 2007 2008 and probably madden foosball blackedition 2008 (WITH MORE BLACKNESS THEN EVER BEFORE).

EA might be the worst offender, but all the game studios are pulling crap like this...think about it:
It's ok for game studios to release unfinished product into stores. But if you don't like the product, you aren't allowed to return it to either the store or the studio because you "coulda woulda shoulda" made a copy of the product. Even though less than 10% of gamers out there have the ability to copy games, 100% of customers can't return a faulty product? This is a corporation's wet dream, people.
And then with a PS3 you can play ported PS2 games until the real games come out! SCORE!!

I dont think they conveyed any bias really... yeah they didnt state it was for the 360 version big whoop people with common sense will listen and see what the guy is talking about. and besides... if you go to the ps3 part of QJ they have an article that talks about how the frame rate are at 30 and not 60 as is on the x360. yeah youll take it as defending the 360 or whatever bull you want but they do show that this game... along with other football games suck on frame rate for the ps3. (btw i have a ps3 so dont call me a fanboy to *****. i call it as i see it)

Every EA game I have sucks. They are all Glitchy. It seems to me that EA does not care about the consumers enjoyment then rather making lots of money for themselves. EA needs to step it up a notch.
EA is company that will keep releasing ***** games because people eat their ***** up with a big smile on their face. Their graphics are top notch so it's basically a polished turd. They don't give developers and testers a realistic time table to produce a quality game. They do this because they know they can release a game that isn't 100% and people will still buy it and come back for more. If people would stop falling for their advertising they wouldn't sell as many games and be forced to either produce a higher quality game or go out of business. I stopped giving EA money a long time ago I hope others do the same. I agree with everything this guy says but look at all the EA games he's bought. He's unwittingly part of the problem he's complaining about.

Seriously, I do watch American Football on occasion, and the guys playing are pretty seriously built, but the protection they use causes more accidents than it prevents, as they just pile into each other full pelt - and that's when limbs start to snap. Watch a game of rugby - it's still full contact but far more restrained and structured.

I hate EA too. I had that exact same quarterback glitch happen to me with Favre. New madden was a dissapointment. The Radio Aunnouncer sucks ass and they dont even give it that Televised Feel that we all want. Whats the point of having rights to ESPN if you dont even use them. They could have had the full ticker and score layout nice like Sunday night football, but no. Quite frankly I dont care for teh game this year or the last 3 years for that matter.

This is extremely sad when you think about it. The very first Madden on the PS2 was very solid and no where near as glitchy.
Sad that this is the 3rd Madden on the 360 and 2nd on the PS3, yet EA still can't get their crap together.

I've just tried pretty much all of them on the PS3 version and their has been no problems at all. So either it is a beta version or you need to get a refund lol.
Ok it does say in the video it is an XBOX it's played on but obviously bad coding and lack of testing.
I'm sure the PS3 version has the same type of problems in addition to only being 30fps.
The only EA game I have is Need for Speed Carbon and while there's no major glitches, I hate the rubber band AI.

Actually the article says it SOMETIMES dips into the 30's. But that is EA's fault not Sony's as proven by the crappy development shown in this game in this EXACT article.

I'm guessing when they ported it...despite their laziness they cleaned up the issues or they just dont occur with the ps3 hardware.

I have a pretty hefty PC system with High specs. Yet EA makes crappy unfinish ports of the console version straight to PC. Why are the PC users getting the short end of the product ? It is not wonder PC version are cheaper to buy. But made the mistake once...not going to buy EVER AGAIN! Biiiiiiiiooooat ttccchhhh!
that's just funny. so far, i've only had a little lag on madden online, but no glitches like that where i got a major glitch was in ncaa football, i was in the 3rd quarter and every time i picked a play, one of the linemen was missing. therefore i could not start the play, even if i called a timeout, so i had to sim the rest of the game. but there's NO reason to get all enraged and stuff over it, it's just a videogame, not like you're really out there on the field. seriously, this guy needs some help. if you don't like ea, don't buy their games ...simple

EA does in fact make many crappy games that would have been great if they had taken a bit more time on them (ex: battlefield2). And to those who don't think he has a valid point, go buy an EA game without your daddy's money. Then we'll see what you have to say.
The consumers are to blame for *****ty games being released in their *****ty state(s). Stop supporting the company's efforts, and they'll learn to shape up.

Quixand you are wrong. Try putting those AFL wusses on a field and have them playing against Rugby players for 40 years without all those time outs and rests and oxygen and other bull***** and not rotating defense and offense and see how long they last!
Rugby players aren't as huge because they have to last the whole game, but I think you will find that they are a whole lot tougher and with much greater stamina.

It's not as easy as that when EA publish about 90% of all worthwhile games. If you don't buy EA games you're going to end up with very few decent games to play.
