So, you just can't decide whether or not you should get the G6 Lite, the M3 Lite or the Supercard Lite? Well, now there's one more cart to add to your list - DSLink. The DSLink is the first DS cart adapter and has taken everyone by surprise. Unlike the M3 Lite and Supercard Lite, the DSLink will not take up the GBA cartridge slot of your DS, but rather you DS cartridge slot! It will act as a memory card adapter that fits into your DS cartridge area with a flush fit!

This great product comes from the developers of the GBALink which was a huge success for the GBA and continues to be one. The DSLink will utilize MicroSD memory cards as their storage medium. There is not much more information than this that is publicly available, but when there is a price and release date we will be sure to tell you!

» Homebrew?

I dont mind the price(I hope they keep it cheap though), as long as it plays all mayor homebrew apps (beup, moonshell and dsorganize come to mind).

Down with those roms, viva la homebrew!

Quoting the article: The DSLink is the first DS cart adapter

Wrongo. Ever heard of the Ultra Flash Pass or Ninjapass DS flash?

Argh, should've specified - this is the first FLUSH FIT ADAPTER, I'm aware of the Ninja DS as I reported on it, and ultra Flash Pass doesn't have much support - also, is Ultra Flash Pass an adapter or a flashcart? That I do not know

by flash pass is a flash cart - 2006-08-08 09:55
» yeah

flash pass is a flash cart, this is indeed the first flush fit ds flash adapter, a very cool i might add. I was going to get the m3, but now i have to wait... i want my gba slot for extra ram...i can't wait till the opera browser comes out, it will be so fun to take apart and mess with...

Theoeretically, there are ways to use the DS Opera Browser with priacy tools such as the M3 (it has enough built-in RAM), but there is still no working "fix". Although, many say it is possible with existing hardware, so all comes in time.

» one problem

The one problem with this is that you can't use things like the extra online tracks patch for Mario Kart DS unless you want to download the rom, which isn't always the best method.

The Ninja DS is not the same as the Ninjapass DS FLash.

Think of the Ninjapass DS Flash as the G6 Lite of NDS Flashcards. (Ninjapass has 512Mb built-in memory)

Although I am probably going to get a DSLink anyway, I just wanted to point this out. ;)

There's the Ninja DS which contains an SD card adapter and a Ninjapass which is flash-based, maybe a few of you are not aware of the SD-version (made by different people I think)

I was wondering if this would ever be possible after I saw the release of NinjaDS. This would come in very handy as to keep something permanantly in the GBA slot. ie rumble, Opera expansion, tilt sensor.

Would it be possible to keep a standard GBA flash cart (eg supercard) in the GBA slot and launch programs off either card? I would like to have a 2gb card in both devices at the same time.

Note (IMPORTANT) - IT DOES NOT ACT AS A PASSME DEVICE, you must have a flashed DS

» HI GUYS!!!

I have the game as a rom on my computer... i wanna know... is it possible to play those roms on the DS just like we do with isos on psps and how to run homebrews on the DS.. is there a MS or something??? or what hacking do i need to do.. plz some1 answer me.. thank you!

» 4M Save?

My only question about this is that it says it has a 4M save, presumably this is MegaBytes not MegaBits, so that means you could roughly fit 17 saves on the card. So if you did buy a 2GB Micro-SD card you likely wouldn't be able to fill it up!

» Roms

Yes, you can play illegal dumps, homebrew, and emulators just as you could on the psp. Dumps run smooth on transflash, perfect really, and also support wifi. We aren't really supposed to acknowledge the fact that some of us play illegal dumps however, because that isn't really fair to friends at qj.net. If you have any more questions just ask away.

» Question

I've gotten a DS a few month back and haven't really looked into the whole homebrew thinige so what I was wondering is if you need to flash your DS or something like that for it to run homebrew / rom dumps / emus etc etc ? Or is it just to buy one of these cards, like this DS-Link, and transfer stuff over it and it will run on my DS?

Thanks in advance.

Hell yeah, I was gonna update my SuperCard to a MiniSD version but now I'm gonna wait till this is released.

Also Maxconsole say it may come out at the end of the month.

by - 2006-08-09 03:55
» Comments -

Maxconsole just gets their information from F1thElement (spelling?) who goes to several DS websites/forums. Maxconsole is basing their information off of a member of the forums, but that person is also getting their information from rough translations of yyjoy.com and gbalink.net

» Do you really need a flashed DS?

Do you really need to have your DS flashed? I mean this information is based on rough translations correct? Maybe it was just misinterpreted?

by rik - 2006-08-09 11:31
» what would be the point of it

there would be hardly a reason to buy this if it required flashing , i would buy one on the day its released otherwise.

defeats the object of the design if tht happens

» Clarification

This really IS the first DS Slot SD Adapter (if it works). I don't count the Ninja stuff since they haven't come out yet. Ultra Pass Flash is not an adapter. The only real thing to compare it to is the NeoFlash MK2/3.
