DSi spells 3 million units sold in Japan |

A mere eight months after its November 1, 2008 release in Japan, the Nintendo DSi zooms far ahead of every other platform to ring up a total of 3,062,920 units sold as of August 2, 2009. Enterbrain released the figures, as reported by Famitsu.The newest member of the DS family has been consistently lording over the top, not only of Japan's sales charts, but also around the globe. The company's latest quarterly financial report released last week showed that the DSi has so far garnered 3.65 million sales worldwide, for the past three months, ending June 30th.
The DSi went abroad to claim some more international success last April 2009, therefore putting the global sales at a high 6.68 million units, life-to-date.

There has been 1 DS sold for every 65 people ON THE PLANET. I love the little thing, but holy crap. How many of the dang things can they possibly sell?
considering the amount of promo and availible things on launch in japan from Nintendo.
If they'd stop being so tight with the western or european markets when it comes to cool addons or IP's (How sick would an earthbound collection for DS be?) they could be seeing those same results in the americas or europe instead of having "leftover" style sales due to the "leftover" nature of what we get. 6 month minimum average rollover for translations?
Weak *****, Nintendo. I do love what you release, but I love some of what you don't just as much or more.
P.S. Thanks for being *****s and putting the new Wario ware as a DSi download even though it was released in cartridge form in japan. It's like you only want my money from things you say I would like or I'm only entitled to buy certain things from you if i buy your "upgrades".
