Here's your DS. - Image 1We just heard about the new version of this app by SiRioKD. DS ROM Tool aids users in patching homebrew roms, and is now on version 0.8 R3. Since we don't have any previous coverage of this, and the original source is in Italian, we'll try and give you an overview of its current features.

DS ROM Tool v0.7 had a lot of useful features. Of these, DLDI patching was perhaps the most pronounced of the changes:
  • Abiltity to patch the DLDI of Chism for homebrew
  • Reorganization of the code
  • Replaced dataGridView with one the ListView
  • Exceeded the test of the MoMA
Currently, v0.8 R3 has some other features homebrewers might like. Here's the machine translation of it from v0.8 to R3:

v0.8:
  • Option that allows to extract rows sav already existing in the archives ZIP. (old rescues)
  • In case of ZIP, possibility to choose if the name of the rows destination must be taken from the name of the archives ZIP or from the name of the rom contained in it.
  • Push-button in order to force the rescue of the configuration (rescue that happens R-alla.chiusura of the program)
v0.8 R3:
  • "Add Files" also with Drag & Drop from the S.O.
  • Progress bar for the greater part of the functions
Note that you'll need Microsoft .net Framework 2.0 to get it to run though. That being said, if you guys have a more accurate translation of the features, please let us know through a comment so everyone can have a new app to help them with their games.
