DS remote play through the Wii?

With all the hype generated by the discovery of remote play (this time, for games and not just media) between the PSP and PS3, there's bound to be rumors of other consoles having similar functions. Here's one such rumor: connectivity between the DS and Wii through the Mii Channel.

The video below is very short, and doesn't show anything much aside from the Wii trying to connect to a DS. Strangely enough, not much was shown to prove that the connection between the two devices are successful.

However, if it ever turns out to be true, then it'll be a very interesting function indeed. Stay tuned for more updates!

The only game to use that connectivity at an acceptable leverl for nintendo was legend of zelda wind waker.

"The only game to use that connectivity at an acceptable level for nintendo was legend of zelda wind waker."

ehm no, that was too expensive (tinkle LOVED your money) and completely useless. The best Nintendo implementations were Pac Man vs and of course the 4 swords game. However all efforts fall short to Ubisoft's MAD TRAX mini game found in rayman 3 IMO. The 2vs2 mode is simply amazing!!!

(the FFCC functionality was just wrong period)

Trying to be like Sony.

More like Sony trying to be like Nintendo.

The GB cartridges had a special adaptor for the N64. Then the GBA was connected to the Gamecube. So basically, Nintendo is the one that started this since a very long time ago.

So, enough bickering about who ripped off who, not too many people care as long as it does something. True, the GBA did do it first with the GC, it was pretty useless and became obsolete very quickly. The PSP and PS3, haven't heard too much about it, but I do know that the functionality of it is much better than GC and GBA. This really shouldn't be an argument at all, if you do tho, argue the functionality and not who did it first. Because after all, Nintendo and Sony did not make the first video game system, who are they ripping off?

Back on subject, I want to know how they even got the option to connect the DS with the Wii, because i checked out my Wii and I dont see any kind of option there. And yes, I'm current with the updates.
