Developer arrpirate was recently diagnosed with diabetes so she made this app to help look after herself (yep, we've got a lady dev in the house *applause*). Since equipment for diabetes patients can be quite pricey, this app might be a less expensive alternative, as far as the Nintendo DS can cover, at the very least. arrpirate makes this entry for the NeoFlash compo, and it scores major points for practical use.

The Health Monitoring Kit basically takes detailed food details and makes computations based on your food intake. It also counts your sugar, calories, fat, and fiber intake so you'll know when to stop before things get bad. If you're weight-watching, this app also takes detailed info on your current weight and compares it to your weight in your last entry.

As for blood sugar, Health Monitoring Kit takes detailed info for the four blood testing times: pre-breakfast, pre-lunch, pre-dinner, pre-bed. All of it is saved in text files in the program's folder.

For future releases, arrpirate's planning to add averages and charts to help you see how your progress came along compared to the previous week, two weeks, all the way to the past year.

Great job arrpirate, and good luck (and I'm sorry, I thought you were a dude! :P)
