Jeux France got up some new pictures of the DS headset. Like a PC headset, a microphone is attached along with the earphones. The device is stylish when compared to most devices that do the job and fits the colour of the console well. Hopefully there will be more colours for those people with the Black, Pink, Navy, or Ice coloured versions!
It will be released in Japan on September 14th - the same day as the hugely anticipated Wii conference! This should be a big hit among Nintendog fans who are tired of speaking into the little hole on their DS!

It's cool to see some pics of the DS headset. I really like the nice white color and it would be great to see different colors to match whatever color DS you have. The only funky things are the way you put on the headset. The ring were you put it on the ear looks big, but it might be adjustable. Also the mic looks long compared to the PSP one, especailly for something that is portable. And it's only mono. If you only hear what the person is talking to you on the ear piece, it might difficult to hear what might be going on in the game through the DS speakers. It would have been great if they implemented stereo support on the headset like the PSP, hear the game and the people. Right now the head set looks cool, but I would still prefer the PSP headset.

Nintendo your cool and all but i must say this is freiken retarded because none of your games have any online comunication. This head set shouldent be used on you ds its compleatly useless and a waste of money
I wonder how it'll work, too. I assume that only communication will be heard through the headphone - not the game music/effects. As for not being able to hear the game, don't worry. Most types of headsets I've used like this don't block outside sounds very well, so that shouldn't be an issue, really. But I agree they should make a stereo one as well so you can get it all in one place. And yeah, it's kinda pointless since online games don't really make use of the mic at all, and MPH only does between friend games. This is great for people with Nintendogs, yeah, but then it should have come out WAY back then, shouldn't it?
