Since the San Diego Comic-Con, Nintendo has been busy promoting Dragon Quest IX's Tag Mode feature across the United States, handing out treasure maps to players so they can come together and play. They've already given out a schedule, but you can still fit this into that - they'll also be at the Penny Arcade Expo for another treasure map.

Mall events have been at it since August 17th and will continue until September 19th. PAX will be held from September 3rd until the 5th, and Nintendo will be handing out the Orgodemir map for Dragon Quest IX players. If you don't have the game, you can still join in with the demo units that will be provided at the event.

Tag Mode, known as Chance Encounter in Japan, was such a big hit with the Japanese that it nailed the Guinness Record for "most popular ad hoc wireless game feature".
