Nope. That's not Loco Roco. His name is Rocket, the adorable little slimeball from the Dragon Quest series of Square Enix, and he stars in the new game, Dragon Quest Heroes Rocket Slime. Who would have thought that a perpetually smiling drop of blue goop (who happens to be the staple baddie of the Dragon Quest series) would have his own game?
So, just before the game comes out on September 19, we're giving you a gameplay trailer to see how the game actually goes. You've heard that it works "Zelda-ish," but how exactly so, especially with the touchpad? This video trailer shows us finally how to control Rocket as you blast him from one part of the screen to another. The tank battle system is also shown, and how ingeniously both screens of the DS are used.
Heads up to the Square Enix fans out there. If you know your Square games, you might spot a hilariously silly inside joke which makes a pun out of Chrono Trigger. Try to catch it in the trailer!
