Dragon Ball Z live movie launch date, partial cast revealed |

According to the latest statement issued by 20th Century Fox in Hong Kong, the live action movie Dragon Ball will start production later this year and is scheduled for a worldwide simultaneous release on August 15, 2008. The cast is still not yet complete but confirmed personalities that are involved in the project include:
- Stephen Chow as Producer (known for Shaolin Soccer and Kung-Fu Hustle)
- James Wong as Director (writer for the TV series The X-Files and director of Final Destination)
- Justin Chatwin as Son Goku (played the son of Tom Cruise's character in War of the Worlds)
- James Marsters as Piccolo (played the vampire Spike on the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer)

Well, if the hollywood personnel play their cards right. This may turn out be a one heckuva Blockbuster movie. And yeah, Justin kinda looks like Goku, just without the hairdo :P.

HELL! I DIDN"T KNOW ABOUT THIS!!! Since when have they been talking about a live action film!? Wow... I really need to pay attention more... I wonder if this movie is gonna be like that movie Surge... It sucked... But you never know. It could be an awesome movie. (wonder what the saiyans would look like in real life...you know how Goku is all bursting with golden energy... yeah, I could see that.)

Yeah, the Manga is even better than the cartoon, for both Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z.

I know its too late to tell my opinion on who should play goku and piccolo, but isnt obvious That piccolo should be played by Samuel L Jackson or Orlando Jones? Did anyone think about giving them a call at all? I think goku could be played by a female, maybe Angie Harmon from Law and Order?? She has a cute face and a tough attitude. I couldnt go on having this opinion in my mind without trying to get it out somewhere...but its just too late..
