Hmm, dunno why but I expected it to go to the DS. Looks like this is going to be a console one though. Unless it's planned for PSP, suppose the UMDs count as optical discs don't they?

To be honest, I sleep safe at night knowing there probably won't be a VII through XII remake, I just don't trust Square Enix anymore.

VII through X pretty much defined an age of RPGs at their peaks. Remaking them would just take away from their appeal to me.

i kinda know what you mean... leave things in memory as they are....BUT...

look i mean, just start up ff7 and tell me you are not irritated when you see a blocky...badly animated, over the top, mouthless yellow and purple colored heap of steaming pixel "doodoo" and when we enter a battle all looks decent.



i mean wtf whoever thought of this should be shot! repeatedly! in the bawws!



And the musical compositions...i want them, in high quality, with nice sounding instruments, instead of a for SNES (under)develope d, glass breaking, like dying giraffe sounding combination of meh and blah.



i mean it was nice.. i enjoyed it, like 15 times.



but now it's enough...it has spinoffs, and other high quality material of the characters and everything in it.

Our perspective on everything that is ff7 has already been changed.

And i think they need to finish what they started.

and if not...who cares, i'm a masochist... i don't mind that one of the most important things i grew up with gets r*p*d in the *ss.
