New Super Mario Bros. Wii - Image 1Pretty soon, we will be seeing DS games having demo plays incorporated into its features. Japanese news site Nikkei reports that the new Skip Functionality will be made present to Nintendo's handhelds, similar to the one debuted in the New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

The feature essentially allows the player to pause the game and then select an option to have upcoming sections auto-played for them. Sort of like a you-go -first-I'll-follow-your-lead kinda thing. This would be particularly helpful to those who get stuck in levels not knowing what to do next or what they're missing hence they cannot move on to the next stage.

In other words, it's a more considerate cheat system since it allows for an on-the-spot tutorial. Which game do you think will this feature be most prominently used in the DS? The closest one I can think of right now is The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks.

Are you looking forward to this feature?

meh

As long as I can turn it off I don't really care... But I actually don't know any DS game that's so hard that you would need this...
