Being a huge Neil Gaiman fan, I didn't want to pass up a chance to post new screens for the upcoming Coraline video game.

The screens provide some clues on what gameplay will be like. Looks like Coraline will get a slingshot for a weapon, a la Bully. The screen showing a list of random items suggest that it's going to have a Broken Sword or Monkey Island-type of gameplay.

There will be minigames as well: one screen has you twirling the PS2's joysticks to juggle apples, and another shows a Bust-a-Groove type minigame that has you conducting a band of mice.

No idea of the DS game will play anything like the console versions, but I'm posting it on the DS blog anyway since they're likely going to have some similarities. The game will come out for the DS, the PS2, and the Wii on January 27, little over a week before the release of the movie on February 6.
