DS Browser

The launch of the DS browser being made by Opera is upon us. Play Asia have listed the application on their website with the price of $49.99 + $2.60 for international shipping. The Opera DS browser software is stored on the Nintendo DS cartridge, whilst a memory expansion will be inserted into the GBA slot.

The great thing about this browser is that you can enter text via two different modes: handwriting recognition or by an on-screen keyboard using the stylus. Also, parents can keep their children safe by using the Parental control facilities to disable the Internet access. Also, the DS Opera browser does not support PDF viewing, sounds or Flash.

This browser is a welcome addition to the range of accessories available for the DS, and is one of those things that although pricey for what it is, will sell out quickly. No US release date has been mentioned yet, so make sure you get your pre-orders in at Play Asia! Remember, it will be shipped next month and if you don't pre-order you can't guarantee yourself a copy.

This will work with a US DS right because there are no region locks on the system.

Nintendo has thought of this idea way before psp and ds was made. Also you're one of those people who only see companies by what you are taught on forums and junk news. You Judge only on Nintendo being crappy company, BTW all companies such as the Big ones Nintendo, Sony, & Microsoft are all equal. Remember this, don't be a follower, be a leader. I know myself that I'm a leader beacause I see in what I like, not what other people like or say and then copy their opinion and place it as my own. GEEZ i hate you kind of people, suck @$$ holes you are.

Well, so much for getting my hopes up. I personally would not need this browser to begin with and the one thing that would have made me buy it was the ability to play flash games and videos.

I sure as hell hope this browser can be updated and updates/plugins/addons are available soon, this browser could have a lot of potential if development on it could continue and new features could be added.

The DS web browser seems A LOT more accessable than the PSP web browser. I'd take a touch interface anyday versus... what is it... ohh tapping the triangle button, then going through constant letter searches to get what you want typed into your PSP? The PSP being the first device to have a browser doesn't mean *****, and it doesn't mean it has to be a good one. Who gives a ***** if it has flash support, big deal... Flash is better on a PC, and I'm sure as hell EVERYONE has a PC that uses QJ.
