Blue Dragon for the DS, sequel in the works?

Blue Dragon will be hitting Stateside shores soon, and with its upcoming Western launch, the rumor mill has once again started to generate some juicy not-confirmed-but-how-we-wish-they-were-true items. Case in point: a DS release of Blue Dragon. With the number of DS and DS Lite owners in Japan, this could very well become a possibility.

Other rumors point towards a spin-off, depending on Mistwalker's personal preference. Furthermore, rumors have been going around the internet that Mistwalker's hugely successful Japanese title for the Xbox 360 will be seeing a sequel. This sequel's existence will supposedly be dependent on how successful Blue Dragon is in the U.S.

Of course, all of this is just conjecture, so let's all just wait for further news when Blue Dragon gets released outside Japan.
