BlockBust: homebrew Arkanoid for your DS |
Listed in: Nintendo DS Tags: Arkanoid, Breakout, Taito
Ó
We've certainly enjoyed a proliferation of homebrew versions of classic arcade games for the handhelds, but that doesn't mean that we can't get enough choices. Here's another one that you can add to the list: BlockBust, a clone of Taito's well-loved Arkanoid (also known as Breakout) by homebrew developer Gungnir. There isn't anything special or flashy about this game, except for the basic things that you'd expect from an Arkanoid-based game:
- 40 levels.
- Animations of the blocks (minor)
- Keeps track of: score, lives and level.
- Sound effects
The download below does not include a readme file, but you can easily install it by copying the file to the root of your flashcard or the folder that you have specified for your games. If you have any comments or suggestions, you can contact the homebrew developer by checking out the Via link. Enjoy!
