When Passenger 57's famous ex-cop John Cutter (played by Wesley Snipes) said, "Always bet on black", Nintendo must have been listening. The black version of their awaited DS Lite will be hitting stores...in Europe. Lucky guys. Americans will just have to pray really, really hard that the black DS Lite will also be coming their way. If you think that you don't need any colored DS Lite and are content with the white one, perhaps these photos will change your mind?

Just a few days before the black DS Lite grace European shelves, a UK game store employee snuck this beautiful baby home and took some photos. Those pictures took my breath away and all I managed to say was, "Me likey". Now if these images had the same effect for you, better start praying now so we can all get our hands on this sexy, sexy thing.

It is *ALMOST* a crime, that that is not being sold in the states. That is the most gorgeous piece of Nintendo hardware I have ever seen... drools :o~~~

The black does look pretty tight, it would match my ipod, but the white one is cool as hell too. I think I'm just content with my old phat one for now, I don't really play it much anyway.

Looks pretty now, but that shiny black surface will sure collect finger prints. I live in the US, but I'm not so upset about Europe getting this first. They always get game releases way after we do, so we can let them go first once in a while. ;)

If we let them slip and get one new game system release. What next, they get multiple Wii colors too?

I find it hilarious that when the Ceramic White PSP came out in Japan and then Europe, everyone was sad that we were stuck with the black PSP.

Now the DS Lite comes out Polar White in America, and we're all jealous of the black one coming out in Europe.

# more colours?Guest 2006-06-21 03:44
I'm in Britain and personally prefer the white DS, however, I believe this product would be perfect and most aesthetically pleasing in a glossy, bright orange. Would anyone else prefer to see the DS lite in any other non released colours?
