BioWareNoted game developer BioWare (Neverwinter Nights, Mass Effect) has formed a new division focused on handheld game development. According to company representatives, the group's first project is for the Nintendo DS. This will mark BioWare's debut in the handheld game market.

Information regarding the upcoming game as well as future plans for the new division has been scarce. What is known though is that the division will be led by project director Dan Tudge, former president and founder of independent developer Exile Interactive. Tudge has also overseen development of titles for publishers such as Nintendo, Microsoft, THQ and Sega Sports.

Recruitment has begun for BioWare's new handheld division, and those interested should head on over to BioWare.com. With BioWare's track record of quality games, this little piece of news is certainly very exciting. We'll keep you guys posted with more information as they surface.
