Swedish developer A Different Game has announced that they'll be bringing their augmented reality game, Ghostwire, to the Nintendo DSi. The game lets you use the DSi's built-in camera to look for ghosts in your own home.

The objective in Ghostwire is to find and collect ghosts. Aside from the camera, you also get to use the DSi's mic as well as a few tools like a "frequency modulator" for tuning in ghosts. Once a ghost is spotted, you can then ask them questions and solve riddles help them find peace.

The press release didn't mention any target release dates, but this certainly looks like a game to watch out for. A Different Game says it's also in development for various smartphones and handheld devices, so an eventual iPhone version shouldn't be too surprising.

Dang. I had come up with this idea for the psp about a year ago using the motion plug in and the camera. Guess that's another one of my ideas that someone else got to first. If it's anything like i imagined it to be, then this could be really cool and creepy.

Makes you think doesn't it, whether the ghost that you see in the console is really there in real life or not.... then again, one never knows....

There are no ghosts.

I didn't say that ghost definitely exist, I said one never knows. Can you prove that ghost doesn't exist?

No. You said "one never knows", which indicates that you can't tell the difference between a game and reality.

If there were evidence for ghosts, you would be justified in believing in them. Until there is, believing in them is STUPID.

Then I guess you're stupid by your own admission because there's tons of evidence out there.
