Avatar: Into the Inferno announced: details and trailer

Following the animated series of Avatar - now on its third season, Book 3: Fire - THQ has announced that they are well into the development of the sequel to Avatar: The Burning Earth. In accord with the fired up storyline of the TV series, the new game is titled Into the Inferno.

Avatar: Into the Inferno will be released for the PS2, the Wii, and the DS this October. The Xbox 360 seems to have been bumped out of the platform release list. THQ put special emphasis on the Wii version; you'll see for yourself by watching the video below. (Look! Aang has hair!)

The DS version, on the other hand, will have a "super deformed" presentation. The DS game will be based on the look of the series' mini-episodes. We're hoping they're talking about the cute chibi-style episodes.

Zuko also seems to be a controllable character in the game, judging from the video (awesome). At any rate, you can see for yourselves:
