It's a wild world. If you own Animal Crossing: Wild World, then you know how cutesy and addictive it can be, even if you happen to be the manliest man in the universe. Those who've played it for a while now may have unlocked everything there is in the game and have milked all the fun out of it, but there may just be one little surprise for you if you go online two weeks from now.

According to the Nintendo Power magazine, Nintendo will be offering Wild World players a little gift in honor of the Wii's release and the upcoming Twilight Princess game. What is this nifty gift, you might ask? Well, we don't know what it is, but there's a good chance it's going to be Zelda-related, or at least something really funny for players to use.

To get a shot at the rare gift, you're supposed to start your game up and hop online through the Nintendo Wi-Fi system at any time between November 17 and 24. During this time, you should receive a letter from Nintendo at your Wild World mailbox that should have an attached in-game goodie. Simple, no?

Let us know what the treat is when it comes out, alright?

they will re-release the zelda items from AC for gamecube. But I think they will real likely release something new. Or better yet the Legend of Zelda nes game.It could be done, the size of nes games are real small. Like under 1 mb.

It reads on this site, and also the other site that you must conect to WiFi in order to obtain the gift, but what do they mean by WiFi? Do i have to go to someone elses town using WiFi to obtain the gift, or do i just open the gate useing WiFi and it willl work? help plz!!!!!

» wifi

I believe you have to go into someone elses town, via WiFi, not wireless play, but actually on the internet. Then, the next time you go back to your town, you'll have mail

All you have to do to receive the gift is make sure your game is set to accept downloads (via the phone in the attic) and then get online with AC (no, not local wifi) and just open your gates on the correct day. You don't have to go anywhere, just open your gates and the mail will come. Once you log off and start your game back up, you'll have mail. It's as simple as that.

» I doubt it

So far everything they've released previously has been stuff that's already been programmed into the game but that you can't buy (Mario coin, ? box, star, etc), or stuff you can buy (top hat on President's Day, etc).

The game was hacked a long time ago and all the items have already been found, some which still have yet to be released in the US by Nintendo. I don't think they can add items that weren't programmed into the game from the start.

Chances are, if it's Zelda related, it'll be either the Triforce or the Master Sword, both of which I already have. Or maybe they have figured a way to actually upload more stuff, who knows. Guess we'll see.

sure enough. I got a Master Sword today. Wonder if you can get one each day or not? I doubt it, but I'll test it to see.
