Analyst: Nintendo 3DS to sell 5 million units by march 2011

Nintendo has high hopes for the 3DS. According to EEDAR's Jesse Divnich, Nintendo likely expects to move 5 million 3DS units by March 2011.

"According to their expected Nintendo DS and 3DS sales (they combine both sales into one category) our estimates indicate that Nintendo is expecting the 3DS to sell 5 million units by March 2011," he said.

Divnich also noted that the 3DS is likely to be made available in two more regions by November 2010. The handheld will be shown off at E3 this June, although Divnich expects Nintendo to hold off on a pricing announcement until the Tokyo Game Show.

Wonder how many of those TOOLS bought more than one, as if they don't already know how Nintendos scam works. Come out with the same old crap, adding little by little to each revamp. My grey/black and green screened gameboy was the last handheld they fooled me out of. XL comes out(at the time only in JAP) and not even seconds later you hear of the 3DS. Gawwwd, all these companies should combine, they have become all the same. There's not even that illusion of customer appreciation anymore and the industry is killing off itself.
