Colin Sebastian - Image 1Colin Sebastian, an analyst for Lazard Capital Markets, has predicted that February video game software sales will be up by 25 percent. In addition to this, he also mentioned that he expects that the gaming industry will be seeing some more growth in the next few months.

According to Sebastian, they expect to see "ongoing positive growth trends through the spring and into the summer months."  He said that all three platforms will be getting a good boost because of "likely blockbuster titles" such as Grand Theft Auto 4 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3), Super Smash Brothers, Gran Turismo 5, and Spore (PC, Wii, DS, Mobile).

It's hard not to agree with his assessment of his situation considering the number of gamers looking following to the games he mentioned. While the odds of his prediction coming true are pretty good, we'll have to wait and see if it does hold true. After all, a lot can happen in the following months.
