Analyst: Bioshock could go multiplatform in 2009

Things are looking brighter for Take-Two Interactive, as more analysts put trust in the company and believe investors could have their money well placed if they take part in the success Bioshock, Manhunt 2, and Grand Theft Auto IV promise. The first game mentioned already saw its release, but Janco Partners analyst Mike Hickey foresees more for the title.

According to the latest research note by Hickey, Take-Two's "management turnaround plan" should boost share value, and upcoming Manhunt 2 will contribute a lot in bringing the dough. For Bioshock, well, he thinks the publishers can take the surprise hit to the PS3, PS2, Wii, and handhelds as the company reaches its 2009 fiscal year.

As for Mafia 2, the next big thing from Take-Two on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC which Hickey expects to experience platinum sales, the analyst suggested, "Additional capital could be used to insure liquidity for working capital needs, fuel potential studio acquisitions, and fund future development projects."

All signs lead to more investors and greenbacks for Take-Two, but our eyes are on Bioshock. Not only is it a Microsoft exclusive, but also a graphical marvel made possible by 360's power. Looks like time will tell how it'll fare on other platforms, or if we're talking spin-offs here.

I hope it will be a multiplattform. But... do anyone know what the ***** they want to make in a 2nd Bioshock? xD U are Mr. X and travels with your Ship and u arrive a Tower which brings u down to Rapture but.. How should that work? xD At the very beginning a Slicer destroys the first Ship. Lol.

Its to hard to think about it half asleep.

Because I think the developers have reach the max in the x360. It can't deliver more.

Halo3 is the best example. If this suppose to be the console mover for x360. I better sell mine really quit after I finish the FIGHT (I'm on stage 3 at Heroic). I mean come on... Sure it's a good game but not a 9.5/10. There are no anti-aliazaning and no innovative breakthroughs (except for online freaks). You have to play it anyway...But. Now I see why epic says that Gears of war use all the power of X360.

Developers certainly saw that and will use the Highly criticize PS3 to reach there goals. Will it be better? Only time will tell............or Next-Xbox on the way?

To Razgoull, I do feel sorry for a lot of people that have claimed the game is to easy plus in the graphics department Halo3 does not stand out but I honestly think it is the developers fault not the power of the 360, all you have to look at is Mass Effect to see that, even Lost Planet blows Halo 3's graphics out of the water.

Come on dude you have no idea what your talking about. The reason halo3 got good reviews is gameplay. The game is not only great looking but it has actual color!! All the games that "look good" are usually very dark and shades of black and white that make the games look better than they really are. MGS4 uses this same strategy that I really hate. Bioshock and halo3 are examples of games that have good uses of good graphics + color. You ps3 fanboys can keep hoping for games while the ones with 360's can keep playing the ones already out. I'm a fanboy of whichever system has the most/best games out and there is no contest atm and I will keep my 360 until/if the tides ever change. Until then keep on gaming 360 fanboys and keep on dreaming ps3 fanboys.

if you read all the article, you will see the comment at the end about halo3 and that make me so smile...We don't hear a lot about that comment because Microsoft tell them to shut UP!

Stupid blind Xbox fanboys... You can continue to which that one day a game will be better looking then Gears of war....UT3 will...But will the PS3 Cell will do justice and steal the glory to X360....

He is CLEARLY saying they have pushed the 360 to the max at THAT TIME, and he is right, NO 360 game pushed the 360 more than Gears of War at the time of release.

He says it's as good as it gets on the 360 (at the time of the game's release), NOT it's as good as the 360 will ever get!

Cliffy B also says there far more to get out of the 360 than they achieved with Gears;

Factor 5 says similar things about Lair pushing the limits of the PS3;

Well, by your logic, Lair is as good as games will ever get on the PS3 because it pushes the console to the limits!

Or maybe, just maybe, like Gears of War, Lair pushes the console to the limits TODAY, but it doesn't represent the limits of future games on either console!

I know, I know :) you totally right! I'm just here to put Xbox fan on there nerves. They are so childish. Equal as PS3 fanboy.

But to continue in your way of thinking, the new RAGE engine will prove that the X360 will be push much more.

To be honest, I don't care about the X360 vs PS3 fight (except on Qj.net :) ) I have both hardware and I'm really happy with them. I'm just a little piss off about halo3 GFX ( except for the flamethrower that's what I call fire.) I will look forward to your other posts in the future. I know it wont be fanboy bullsh*t.

Ps: Sorry for my writing. English is not my primary language. It's the 3rd one.
