Gearbox Software's Aliens: Colonial Marines (PS3, Xbox 360) was first announced three years ago. Originally, it was supposed to come out last year, but it was rescheduled for a mid-2009 release. We're now coming to the end of mid-2009 but the game's still nowhere in sight.

Kotaku reports that according to Gearbox president Randy Pitchford, it's still coming. Just not this year. Pitchford didn't give out any reasons for this new delay, but it may have something to do with the fact that Gearbox currently has three other titles in development apart from Aliens: Colonial Marines.

The Gearbox president also confirmed that there is indeed a DS version of Aliens: Colonial Marines coming, but they're not the ones doing development work for it. Rumor has it that the studio behind the DS version is Contra 4 developer WayForward Technologies.

» Just stop

Shut the f*ck up and talk about when the game IS going to be out, not when it's NOT going to be out. Getting tired of it, nothing but delays delays delays with this game
