Want more Pokemon? Then have more Pokemon! There's a new overview trailer up for the upcoming Pokemon Platinum game, and it looks as if there are quite a number of new features for you to try out.

The overview is in Japanese, so you might not be able to understand a word about the upcoming game. That said, some things are made plain in the video. In addition to exploring a new dungeon with your Pokemo, via the dark warp at the top of Mt. Coronet, it looks as if you'll be able to engage in new battles in what appears to be a new tournament-style battle arena.

In any event, watch and marvel at your new wall-walking abilities, the new available Pokemon, and the great adventure that awaits!

» Ergh.

They ruined the games with Ruby and Sapphire.

I absolutely hate just about every single one of the D/P/P pokemon. They ruined the original ones with the new evolutions like Lickylicky or Magmar's evolution or Glaceon or Leafeon or Magnaton's evolution or Electabuzz's evolution or....

etc. etc. I could go on all day.

There's also way tooo many Legendaries.

I heard the game has a good gameplay, similar to Blue and Red, but I still would never, ever buy this or the other two DS games.

» I'd recommend...

You should play it before your mind is set. It's never left the DS Slot on my DS.

» Red, Blue, Silver, Gold and Emerald 4 life

Pokemon up to those games were actually pretty good because it was still very new and the realease of the next 100 set was very nice until they kept adding pokemon that have very crappy names and looks(only some of them actually look good

I don't recommend anyone to play these games because they are the same as the ones before...gameplay gets really old...it was good until it lasted...It's like yugioh they just keep on adding crap and selling them to kids

» So..

Is this The update to Diamond and Pearl?

you know, like Yellow was the upgrade to Red and Blue... Oh and Crystal was the upgrade to Gold and Silver...Then Emerald to Ruby and Sapphire.

» Well...

I'll probably think the gameplay is good before I play it because I like to go into stuff with a good attitude. Please don't judge me and say I shouldn't look positively into a series of games I am addicted to.

» nice

I'll probably get this. I completely skipped the GBA versions, but I like the DS ones.

Hopefully they're working on Gold, Silver, and Crystal remakes now...

» eh

Remakes would be cool, if they maybe added something new to the mix. Maybe a new battle system or something. The whole collect 8 badges and enter the pokemon league is getting old. It's fine if they keep it, but they need more.

» Wake up, Game Freak!

It's like papajag said, nothing has changed. Game Freak just keep sitting on their laurels, reaping what they've sown, changing nearly NOTHING. If you've played a Pokemon game before, I'd wager you'd find nothing to keep you entertained here, at least judging from the video. For a breath of fresh air, you'd need to go play the likes of Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker or something similar.
