More on the Nintendo 3DS - a lot of games and features were shown earlier and one of them was the system's Game Boy capabilities. There are quite a few new games to play in the new handheld, but in case you love going retro, it'll have its own library of Game Boy titles.
Akin to the retro service of the Virtual Console, the 3DS will have access to classics from the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance. You can opt to play these games in 3D, or adjust back to the regular 2D feel with the 3DS' depth slider.
Nintendo hasn't announced which classics will be available at launch or how the digital re-releases will be priced.

If you think the system is over priced consider this. Try and price a CD camera or an auto stereo 3D display. They are extremely expensive. If they had tried to release this thing a few years ago they would have taken a loss even at 1000 dollars. As it is they will be making only a small profit on the hardware due to the fact that they included everything except the kitchen sink.
I may not like the idea of paying 300 dollars for a handheld but it isn't like you aren't getting your moneys worth.
